Five Question Friday - Sept 9th

It's been awhile since I've done a Five Question Friday, I've kind of missed it.

1.
What ringtone do you have on your cell phone?
Umm... I don't know what the name of it is.  I have a tendency to choose a catchy annoying ring; this way I'll want to answer it on the rare occurrence it does ring.  Seriously, I have 200 minutes a month I can use and I might use 50 on a busy month.  On the flip side, I love my unlimited texts, since I send 300-500 texts a month.  Hi, I'm Amanda and I'm a textaholic....

2. What is your favorite memory from this summer?
Oh, tough call.  Any of the parades we've been to (and there have been many), numerous days with the cousins, trip to the Okanagan, Playland, Beach Day, Airport Day, Aquarium, Sesame Street, moving... well... it wasn't moving.
I don't think I can just choose a favourite.  There were some Great memories from all the various activities this summer.
But, next year.... I can't wait for next summer.  We're taking the kidlets to Alberta to visit family, go to West Edmonton Mall (I've never been and I'm excited), Drumheller and possibly a visit with some good friends in the Interior.
3. Paper books or ebooks?
Paper!!  I don't know how people read on the ebooks (I sound old), wouldn't lighting be an issue?  And isn't staring at a screen for that long bad on your eyes?  Paper books all the way.  I love holding them in my hand, being able to look at how many pages are left to make the decision to keep reading for another chapter (that always turns out to be 5 or 6 more), trying to find the most comfortable way to hold the book with the hand that doesn't have a cramp from holding it for hours, or turning the pages as fast as I can to find out what's going to happen on the next page.

4. If you could have one home upgrade what would it be and why?
In the place we're living in now... new windows.  They're old and single paned... we're going to freeze in the winter.

5. When was your first serious boyfriend/girlfriend?
My first "Serious" boyfriend would have to be my highschool not-so-sweetheart.  We were together for just over 3 years and (in hindsight) it was 3 years too long.  That's all I'm going to say about that.

  1. Your vacation sounds so fun next year! I have always wanted to visit Western Canada!

Old windows can be a pain in the butt. We used plastic (you hardly notice it is there) over our windows for a few years that we purchased in a hardware store. Good luck with the winter!!
