One day Lynden decided I wasn't feeling well and to make me feel better he was the doctor. He took my temperature, gave me medicine, and listened to my heart.
A few days later, at bedtime, he asked to listen to my heart. This was our conversation:
Lynden: Does it have feet?
Me: No, hearts don't have feet.
Lynden: Then how does it walk?
Me: It's doesn't walk.
Lynden: Then how does it make that thumping noise?
It's not easy explaining to a preschooler why hearts make thumping noises, nevermind what a heart does.
