5QF - It's June!!

Another week is done and somehow June has started.

1. What were you scared of as a kid?

I was (and still am) scared of spiders, swimming where I can't see the bottom (which is making learning to Scuba Dive interesting), and sleeping with the closet door open.

2. Do you sleep well in a hotel?

Yes.  I've only been in a hotel a handful of times but I've never had an issue sleeping.... ok, only once but that was when we were in Disney Land and I was in the same room as my grandparents.  My grandpa snores like no one else.  At their old place the neighbours would complain about how loud it was when they slept with the windows open.

3. If you could meet any celebrity, dead or alive, who and why?

Trevor Linden (in fact it's on my bucket list).  I've been a hockey, Canucks, and Linden fan since I was 4 (for those of you doing math at home that makes it 23 years).

Lynden's first Easter we were on the coast and Linden (are you confused?) was signing autographs so Danny agreed to stand in line before driving home to get his autograph.  We stood in line for 2.5 hours and we didn't make the cut.  But, I did get to see the back of Linden's head while standing in line.

20 years and I've seen the back of his head...  And, yes, Lynden is named after Linden.

for those of you who don't know who Trev is

4. It's a hot summer day. Do you prefer to be pool side or at the beach?

Beach!  A pool is handy but there's nothing like lying on the beach listening to waves.

5. What is your favorite summer dish?

Pasta pizza.  It's a dish a family friend used to make when we were kids and it reminds me of summer.  I should make it.

  1. Pasta Pizza - that sounds gooood!

The more 5QF posts I read this week, the more I remember being afraid of things. I still hate to swim when I can't see the bottom. My imagination always makes me think I see things below me that aren't there.

    Happy Friday!

    1. I found the same thing. I'd read a few and think "oooooh ya...".
I can understand the thinking what's down there and not knowing where it ends.
